Altstadtmarkt (Old Town Market)
A medieval market square with the Old Town Hall, St. Martini church and the Gewandhaus. Weekly market.
The Altstadtmarkt has been a marketplace since the 12th century and gathers three of the most important civic buildings: the Gothic Old Town Hall, St. Martini church and the Renaissance Gewandhaus with its richly designed east façade. A weekly market is held here on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
