Brunswick Cathedral (Dom St. Blasii)
A 12th-century Romanesque collegiate church. Burial place of Henry the Lion and Matilda of England.
Brunswick Cathedral was begun by Henry the Lion in 1173. The nave holds the tombs of the ducal couple Henry and Matilda, while the choir contains the famous 12th-century Imervard Cross and the seven-armed candelabrum. It is one of the most important Romanesque churches in northern Germany.
